Promaxe
Promaxe is a specially designed nutritional supplement that provides very high calories to meet the needs of patients in hypermetabolic state.
Promaxe contains:
- Proteins: Help in healing and improving immune functions. Also helps in preventing post-surgical complications.
- Vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, C and E along with Zinc, Magnesium and Selenium to promote quick healing of wound.
- Glutamine serves as a source of cellular energy and reduces oxidative damage.
Indications:
- Promaxe is indicated for patients in hyper metabolic state including severe burns, multiple trauma, infections like HIV, Cancer etc.
- Adjunct to Radio therapy in head and neck cancer
- Gastro surgery-Cholecystitis, pancreatitis etc.
Dosage:
In patients with cancer or infections, it is recommended to use 30 gm twice daily in 100ml of boiled and cooled water or warm milk. Volume after reconstitution is 122ml.
For Burn patients, mix 30gm in 100ml of warm milk and feed every hour for 8-10 hours.
